Tapestry of the North is a travelling exhibition by the talented northern members of the British Tapestry Group, in a diverse range of styles and techniques. The three-venue show starts at Farfield Mill, a historic riverside building in Cumbria's Howgill Fells. Later, it moves to Redcar, on Yorkshire's North Sea coast, and finally to the historic wool town of Halifax. You'll find artists at all levels, from renowned professionals to recent converts.
The exhibition is for everyone, whether you just want to admire the exhibits, try working on the loom, or even buy a work to hang at home. Enjoy the demos, workshops and videos, and pick up weaving materials and equipment from one of Weaversbazaar's famous pop-up shops. Vote for a People's Choice winner at each of the three venues!
